2 shot, 1 cut in drive-by shooting

Two people were shot and another person was cut in apparent drive-by shooting in South Memphis.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of Kerr Avenue. When police arrived on the scene, they found three victims.

One person was lying in a driveway with a gunshot wound. Another was lying in front of a car in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. A third person was kneeling beside the first victim with cuts on the left thigh.

The victims told police they were standing in front of a house when a dark vehicle with tinted windows drove by. The car apparently stopped just as it passed Hemlock, and someone began shooting.

Police said the car then sped off.

The shooting victims were taken to Regional One in critical condition.

Two victims were taken to Regional One, but their conditions are unknown at this time.
