Nashville, TN – Best
Buddies will hold its 4th Annual Prom on Sunday, February 16 at
Bridgestone Arena from 6-9 p.m. Over 1,500 participants from the Best Buddies
high school, college and adult programs are expected to attend this year's
The Best Buddies Prom was created to give students with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to take part in the significant teenage milestone. Participants are encouraged to attend the Prom with their Buddy to create a lasting memory as part of their friendship.
It's an enormous party for EVERYONE. Not just those with
disabilities. Not just those without disabilities. There's no judgment,
ridicule, bullying or isolation. Everyone is welcome, and everyone is
Guests get the superstar treatment as they "Walk the Gold Carpet" posing for paparazzi-style photographers as they enter the arena. The jumbotron will feature a live video feed of the action on the dance floor throughout the evening. Guests can grab a microphone and have their five minutes of fame on stage singing along to their favorite tunes with karaoke. Parents, sponsors and other supporters are invited to observe the event from above at the V.I.P Party held in the All-Inclusive Zone.
