A very special event was held for a Mid-South teenager at the Peabody Hotel, Thursday night.
14-year-old Cassy Colunga has been fighting brain cancer for more than a year. Doctors have told her family she may have less than six months to live.
As a result, family and friends came together to give the Millington teen an early prom.
“Thank you so much to everyone, all the people who have supported me,” Cassy said to the crowd.
Despite her illness, Cassy has remained very upbeat.
