The theme of the week ahead: Cooler than normal temperatures.  Boo! Right?

Cold air spills into the MidSouth over the next 48 to 72 hours and drops overnight readings to near or below freezing.  Even with the sunshine, afternoons will be cooler and in the 50s.

Temperatures begin to warm towards the end of the week, but Friday should also be wet with expected showers occurring Thursday evening through Saturday am.

Keep a coat handy and don't turn off the heat just yet!
