A Wind Advisory is in effect for the entire MidSouth through 9pm tonight. Winds are expected to gust up to 45 mph or higher as storms fire along a strong cold front. The front will beging to reach the forecast area later this afternoon close to 3-5pm. Brief and intense downpours will occur ahead of the boundary with the main threat being strong straight line winds, possible hail, and lightning. A few of the storms may become intense or severe. We are monitoring the weather here at FOX13 all afternoon and will keep you posted. If conditions warrant, we will break into programming. All is quiet so far.
Temperatures unusually warm to day and spring like. We will probably reach the mid 70s before the rain. Clearing late tonight behind the system and cooling off.
Friday's high in the low 60s under sunny skies.
