• Twin brothers celebrate 95th birthday

Two brothers, who share a common bond, hit a major milestone on April 15 - their 95th birthday!

George Swanson is 20 minutes older than his twin brother Bill.

"I have to listen to everything he says, he's the boss," Bill says

The two bonded since birth - dressing alike, learning to drive together and sharing their love for women.

George and Bill had a double wedding. they married two best friends on the same day.

"Did the girls want it or did we want it,” George asked playfully.

“The girls wanted it and we did too yes," replied Bill.

Besides sharing a birthday and a wedding, both men also served in World War II

Bill enlisted in the Army/Air Force in 1942. He deployed to England where his company marched before the King and Queen.

    George left the following year.

Just after the invasion June 6th he was able to join me. And the articles of war said if he wanted to come over and serve in a combat zone nothing can stop it," said Bill.

Both served until 1945, got jobs, had families, and eventually retired.

With family and friends the twins celebrated their 95th birthday.

"You know when you get to be 70 and 75 and 80, you just don't think it can go on and on and on every five years, we just never thought it could happen, it did though," said Bill

With vodka tonics in hand, George and Bill reminisced about the past and cracked a few jokes.

George lives in Wisconsin and Bill in Louisville.

The last time they were together was in 2011, on a surprise trip to Florida.
