Tennessee Highway Patrol said all three were wearing their seatbelts, and the youngest child was in a car seat.
THP said King was driving west on Highway 70 and began to slow her vehicle to turn without an indication or signal. There was a gravel behind them, which tried to avoid a collision by slamming on its brakes and steering to the left.
The gravel truck flipped over onto King’s vehicle, which also turned left, according to THP. Both of the cars came to a stop in a ravine near the intersection of Highway 70 and Briley Road.
The driver of the gravel truck was not injured, and no charges have been filed.
