Grizzlies Day of Service for MLK Weekend

The Grizzlies kicked off the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday weekend with a Day of Service.

Players got started helping children and giving out food Friday morning at the FedExForum. It all started early that morning before the team even had practice.

Zach Randolph, Mike Conley and Xaveir Henry were outside of FedExForum helping unload four tractor trailers filled with food and other supplies that are going to help feed 1,600 families.

But they weren't done yet. Friday evening after practice, 300 pairs of Nike shoes were given away, along with socks, and some folks even got a chance to have their feet washed.

For the Grizzlies, they were just happy to be able to give back any way they could.

The MLK game tips off Monday at noon down at FedExForum.
