The Memphis Tigers football team braved cold temperatures and wet fields to kick off their spring football season with the first practice of 2014.
The Tigers are allowed 15 spring football practices: They'll have four in the first week, before leaving for spring break, and then concluding the spring football season.
The Tigers are entering their third year under head coach Justin Fuente, having struggled to a 7-19 record. But with a couple of recruiting classes under his belt and his systems fully installed, Fuente and the Tigers believe they might be ready to take the next step.
With confidence and direction, the Tigers were excited to get back on the field.
