MEMPHIS, Tenn. - If you get a check from AT&T in the mail, don’t throw it away.
It’s money AT&T customers are entitled to, as part of a settlement in a class-action lawsuit dating back to 2011.
Customers who owned AT&T smartphones or blackberries, and paid for a data plan between 2005 and 2010 may get a check in their mailbox.
AT&T was accused of overcharging customers for data, but recently settled the case with the Federal Trade Commission.
You can learn more about the settlement, and the money AT&T is sending in the mail at this link.
