• City Watch canceled for 12-year-old girl with autism


    MEMPHIS, Tenn. - UPDATE 1:03 a.m.: Mackenzie Thomas has been found safe. 


    Memphis Police Department is searching for 12-year-old Mackenzie Thomas. A City Watch was issued Monday evening.

    Officials said the girl was in the car with her mother around 5:30 p.m. when the two got into an argument. Thomas exited the vehicle at the intersection of Lyfort and Hinton and fled on foot.

    The victim has been diagnosed with autism, according to police. 

    She is described as African-American, 5'8", 130 lbs, dark complexion, with braided hair, wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt, khaki pants, and silver glittery Converse tennis shoes.
