• Deadly officer-involved shooting being investigated by TBI


    FAIRVIEW, Tenn. - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting in Fairview. 

    Two officers with the Fairview Police Department were called to a disturbance around 1 a.m. in the 7100 block of Hill Hughes Road in Williamson County. 

    The TBI reports that when officers arrived on scene, a man was outside the home armed with a gun.

    The TBI says that the man was non-compliant with officers' commands. One officer fired a Taser at him. 

    They said the Taser was ineffective, and the man drew his weapon. At that time, one of the officers fired his weapon, hitting and killing the man. 

    The man's name has not been released at this time.
