MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The owner of Crumpy's Hot Wings, Donald Crump, is in hot water after being accused of strangling a customer during an altercation....over cold food.
The incident happened at the 671 S. Highland Street location on Friday, November 3.
The victim stated that she got into a verbal altercation with Crump about her food being cold. She then accused the Crumpy's owner of walking from behind the counter and putting his hands around her neck. She said the man proceeded to strangle her.
Four witnesses said the woman threw her food on the floor moments before the incident escalated.
Crump admitted to strangling the woman. The 61-year-old was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Crump is out of jail on bond.
