Slight Risk of Severe Storms Sunday (Afternoon)
Mostly cloudy. Stray showers developing early Sunday morning after 6 a.m. 20% chance of rain.
South winds at 5-10 mph.
A slow-moving cold front will push through on Sunday. This will initiate shower and storms with strong storms possible mainly in the afternoon and early evening.
Severe risk is highest between noon – 6 p.m. Primary threats tomorrow are damaging wind gusts and heavy rain leading to localized flash flooding. Some areas may see an upwards of 2” of rain.
Rain chance at 60%.
It’ll still be a hot one despite rain and clouds – highs near 88° with a heat index of 102°.
Southwest winds shifting to the west at 5-10 mph. Higher wind gusts in thunderstorms.
Once the front exits early Monday, we’ll see a chance in airmass. More comfortable temps arrive to start next week with highs in the mid 80s.
We’re looking a quiet, dry weather pattern through next week with mostly sunny skies through the end of the week with highs rebounding into the lower 90s.
