MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A gun was found inside a bathroom at a local middle school on Wednesday.
Memphis police said the weapon was found at KIPP Collegiate Middle School, in the 200 block of Henry Avenue, around 11:35 a.m.
Officials said no injuries were reported.

Police said two male juveniles were charged with aggravated assault and carrying a weapon on school property.
No other information was released by police.
KIPP Memphis Collegiate Schools sent FOX13 the following statement:
Earlier this morning, a member of KIPP Memphis Collegiate Middle School staff received a report of a gun in one of the school bathrooms. We immediately found and secured the weapon in a safe place, and notified the Memphis Police Department. The weapon was not used, and no one was hurt. The police are currently in possession of the weapon and investigating the situation, and we are cooperating fully with their investigation. The student suspected to be involved will not be returning to campus, pending the investigation. We notified all families from KIPP Memphis Collegiate Middle School of this situation by email this afternoon, and we have also notified parents at KIPP Memphis Collegiate Elementary School, which shares the same campus. At KIPP Memphis, we take the safety of students and staff very seriously, and are committed to ensuring we address any safety situation as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
