Kroger customer robbed at gunpoint two months after employee kidnapped behind same store

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A customer was robbed at gunpoint by masked men behind Kroger. 

It happened at the store in the 4200 block of Summer on Friday. 

Officers said the victim was was robbed of cash while standing next to his truck in the alley behind the store. 

The victim told MPD two men wearing all black with pantyhose over their faces came up behind him and put a handgun to his side. 

The suspects ran towards the back of Kroger and jumped into a red pickup truck. The truck headed west on Tutwiler. 

A store employee told police Kroger has cameras that cover the parking lot, but not the alley in the back. 

This is the same store where a Kroger employee was kidnapped back in August. In that incident, the 16-year-old was abducted in his own car in the back parking lot.

After being taken on a terrifying ride, he was able to escape. 

In that incident, police also noted there were no security cameras that showed the rear of the grocery store where the abduction took place.
