POLICE: Man charged with murder after argument over woman

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. - The West Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting on Thompson Ave at the Westview Apartments, Captain Joe Baker said.

The shooting happened at about 6:30 Friday morning in the 2500 block of East Thompson St.

Police said the victim, Gregory Brown, was shot multiple times while in his vehicle. He was rushed to Regional One Medical Center, but he died about an hour later.

Police said Jeremiah Burns was identified as a suspect, and the shooting stemmed from an argument between two men over a woman both were interested in. 

Burns turned himself into the West Memphis Police Department. 

He has been charged with murder and terroristic acts. 

He will be arraigned in West Memphis on March 6.
