MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A manager of a Family Dollar Store is in jail tonight accused of assisting in the burglaries of several Family Dollar stores.
Alicia Murray and Tommy Johnson were arrested after police found stolen merchandise in a motel room belonging to them.
Police said they received a crime stopper tip leading them to Tommy Johnson near a Family Dollar store on S. Third selling items that were stolen from the Family Dollar Stores. After finding more stolen products in a motel room registered to Johnson and Alecia Murray, police arrested the two.
Murray is a manager of a Family Dollar store on Getwell. Police told FOX13 Murray has knowledge of the security systems at several stores gave it to Johnson in order to manipulate the system.

Police told FOX13 the two are believed to be responsible for four Family Dollar store burglaries that date back to September 23rd. We asked Memphis Police for the latest crime numbers from all 52 Family Dollar stores in Memphis, those numbers could not be provided for us at this time.
Memphis Police could not confirm if the two were responsible for any crimes at the store Murray manages. The two have been charged with several burglary and theft charges.
