• Memphis man shot, killed after heated argument goes wrong identified


    MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead.

    The incident happened Tuesday afternoon in North Memphis at Looney Street and Montgomery Avenue.

    Police said they responded to an aggravated assault around 2 p.m.

    Two men were shot after what police called an "apparent disagreement." 

    Both victims were transported to Regional One Medical Center by a private vehicle. One of the victims identified as Markell Watkins later died from his injuries. The other victim's condition is unknown.

    The male suspect fled the scene in a white truck with rims, according to MPD.
