MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Memphis teenager who had been reported as a kidnapping victim has been found safe, and a woman is now facing charges for filing a false report in the case.
According to an affidavit, police said Kimauna Butler called them and said Malynda Townsend had been kidnapped.

After she was arrested, Butler told police Townsend was not a victim of kidnapping but was being used in a plot to get money.
Townsend's family saw our story on FOX13 News at 5 and 6 and called Scott Madaus to let him know she was back home.
"I'm home now. I'm safe, and hopefully I won't have you all worrying about me anymore," said the teen.
Kimuana Butler will face a judge Thursday morning.
