Three suspects identified in connection to recent Helena West Helena shooting

HELENA WEST HELENA, AR - Three suspects have been identified in connection to a recent shooting and brutal attack that left a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the groin area, according to Helena West Helena Police Department.  
 
Officers responded to a shooting call in the 500 block of E. Garland in West Helena. 33-year-old Danny Johnson, was found laying in the area.
Officers noticed Johnson had been severally beaten and quickly discovered that he had additionally been shot in the lower groin area. 
 
Johnson was later transported by Pafford to Helena Regional Hospital, where he was later airlifted to a local hospital in Memphis, TN. 
 
Once Johnson was able to speak with detectives were able to gather more information about what happened on the night of the shooting.
 
Johnson was able to identify all three suspects involved in the shooting and attack that occurred in the early morning hours at approximately 2:24 a.m. on Wednesday March 21, 2017. 
 
Johnson identified 26-year-old Markee Ross, of Helena West Helena, 24-year-old Cortez Banks and 25-year-old Michael Rogers AKA( Mike Mike) all of Helena West Helena.
 
The motive for the shooting and brutal attack is undetermined at this time.
 
Ross has been a suspect in at least 2 other shootings one occurred back on November 25, 2016 where Ross was a suspect who was shooting at a vehicle as they left the Isle of Capri Casino, in Lula, Mississippi. 
 
Banks and Rogers, the other two suspects, both have extensive criminal records with the H-WHPD.  
 
Officer Phillip Keys noticed Cortez Banks in the 300 block of North 6th Street that officer called for additional officers who responded and Banks was taken into custody without incident. He is being held on a $650,000 dollar warrant for attempt murder.
 
Investigators are looking for Markee Ross and Michael Rogers AKA (Mike Mike). Both suspects have warrants for attempted murder.
