MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Tigers head football coach has agreed to an contract extension with the university.
Mike Norvell took to Twitter to announce that he'd be staying in the 901 to coach the Tigers.

Norvell was rumored to be a target for several big football programs in the country, but he decided to stay in the 901 for now.
The Tigers came up just shy of winning its first ever AAC Championship Game Saturday vs. UCF.
Following one of the most successful year's in program history, the team will compete against Iowa State in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl December 30 at 11:30 a.m CT.
