Victim, suspects identified in Olive Branch home invasion

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. - Two people are dead after an early Sunday morning home invasion in Olive Branch.

The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a resident and an alleged suspect were shot and killed in the 14000 block of Burton Road.

The victim's family told us 24-year-old Deangelo Tinnin and 19-year-old Miriko Simmons targeted the family of Curtis Lee Mosely.

All because they believed one of Moselys nephews had some money. Mosely was killed by the intruders.

Suspect Deangelo Tinnin is dead and suspect Miriko Simmons is recovering in the hospital after they were shot during the home invasion.

“Well I think that they just got away for a break from last night and yesterday just so many questions asked and they were kind of in shock,” said a family friend.

Family members told FOX13 one relative knew Tinnin but only distantly.

Neither suspect had any criminal history in DeSoto County Court.

The DeSoto County Sheriff's Department spent 11 hours questioning witnesses about the shootings on Sunday.

“We are just lost for answers right now. We hear this and we hear that, but we really don't know the truth behind it,” said a family friend.
