A family member broadcast a Facebook Live video from the hospital room of Laylah Washington. The child was shot Sunday night in an apparent road rage incident.
Laylah’s aunt posted the video in hopes that it will help police find the person who shot Laylah.
“It’s gonna go viral,” the woman said in the video. “They gonna get caught. I’m telling you I’m trying to get them caught because this right here makes no sense.”

Police said the shooting happened on Kirby Parkway.
The child’s mother told investigators she was waiting for her two sons to get off work when she saw several cars driving erratically. She then yelled “don’t hit my car” at a black Impala that nearly struck her vehicle.
When her sons got in the car, she drove away and didn’t realize the Impala was following her until she turned off Winchester onto Kirby Parkway, according to police. The mother heard gunshots and told her kids to get down, but Laylah was wounded in the incident.
She was rushed to Le Bonheur in extremely critical condition.
