12 trillion gallons of rain have hit Texas so far, and another 12+ trillion gallons are possible.
The heavy downpours have caused devastating flooding across Houston and the surrounding area. The Houston police chief said more than 2,000 people have been rescued so far, and more than 100 requests for help are still pending as of Monday morning.

Hurricane Harvey came ashore late Friday. The now-Tropical Storm has since made its way back into the Gulf of Mexico, where it will continue to generate rain bands that will add precipitation to the already flooded out Houston-area.
In the coming days, the remnants of Harvey are expected to track to Memphis and the Mid-South area. FOX13 Meteorologist Brittani Dubose explained when it will arrive and what kind of impact we can anticipate locally. Watch the video below:
