Kate joined the FOX13 News team in July 2022. She is honored to launch the station's new consumer advocate role.
Prior to arriving in the Mid-South, Kate reported for KVIA-TV in her hometown of Las Cruces, New Mexico for five years. On the weekends, Kate produced and anchored the station's evening newscasts, documenting historic events throughout El Paso and the Borderland. During Kate's time at KVIA-TV, she covered the horrific mass shooting at Walmart in August 2019 and witnessed the community's grief, persistence, and determination to heal from the tragedy.
Prior to starting her career, Kate graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication where she was recognized as the ASU Alumni Association’s outstanding graduate student in May 2017.
Kate is a New Mexico native, born in Albuquerque and raised in Las Cruces. In her spare time, she enjoys lifting heavy weights, cooking, and exploring the community. She appreciates all recommendations for a newcomer to the Mid-South.
