Southwest Tennessee Community College to move online post-Labor Day to prevent COVID outbreak

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Three major companies are partnering with Southwest Tennessee Community College to present a joint career training initiative for students in the field of electronics, mechanics, computer sciences and other fields.

Introduction to the M.A.C. (MLGW, AT&T and Comcast) Workforce Initiative will be held Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at STCC.'s Macon Campus, 5983 Macon Cove, in the Farris Building Auditorium.

The event is free and open to the public. Former STCC students are encouraged to attend.

Southwest President Tracy D. Hall said in a press release that the college directors are, "Thrilled for our students who will benefit from their customized training and direct connection to employment."

All three company representatives plan to visit M.A.C. classes regularly and and share expertise.

MLGW President and CEO Doug McGowen said, "There is a wealth of opportunity available for students interested in following the M.A.C. path.

"People who work in the skilled trades are in high demand across the country."
