School Closures - Primary Schools
Shelby County Schools/Administrative Offices - Classes canceled March 13 through April 6.
Collierville, Arlington, Bartlett, Germantown, Lakeland, Millington Schools - Classes canceled through March 27
Tipton County Schools - Classes canceled through March 27
Desoto County Schools- Classes canceled through March 20
All Arkansas schools closed beginning March 17 through March 30.
Oxford School District - Classes and all school activities are canceled March 16 and 17
Briarcrest Christian School - School closed until March 30
Corinth School District - Classes resume March 23 as scheduled after spring break
Compass Community Schools - Classes canceled until April 6
Evangelical Christian School - Classes canceled March 16-20.
Freedom Preparatory Academy - Classes canceled March 13 through March 27
Promise Academy - Classes canceled March 13 through March 27
First Assembly Christian School - School closed from March 16 through March 20
Lafayette County Schools - Closed on March 16 and March 17
Tate County Schools - closed until March 23
Marshall County Schools - Closed until March 20
Compass Community Schools - 6 charter schools closed from March 13 through March 27
Porter Leath Schools - Closed March 13 through March 27
Moore Tech- Moore Tech will provide assignments for students to complete at home and will close its three campuses for class meetings. All assignments will be due March 31. “We will attempt to reopen Monday, March 30th if the public health risk has subsided,” college president, Skip Redmond said.
Hardeman County Schools - closed from March 17 until April 3.
McNairy County Schools- closed March 17 until March 31.

School Closures - Colleges & Universities
Christian Brothers University - Classes canceled Friday, March 13. Classes resume Wednesday, March 17
LeMoyne-Owen College - Spring Break extended a week. Classes resume March 30.
Delta Technical College - Spring Break extended through March 27. Classes will resume March 30.
Dyersburg State Community College - classes canceled until March 22. Classes resume March 23 with online courses
Rhodes College - Classes canceled March 16 through 20. Remote learning beginning March 23
Southwest Tennessee Community College - Spring Break extended until March 21. Online classes begin March 23 through April 5. On-campus classes resume April 6.
UTHSC - Online lectures begin March 23
Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology - Spring Break extended through March 20.
University of Memphis - Spring break extended a week. Classes resume March 23 with virtual or remote learning. Spring graduation ceremony cancelled.
8 Mississippi Public Universities - Spring break extended a week. Classes resume March 25 with online courses
DeSoto County Schools- out through at least March 20. Parents will be updated with more information next week.
Arkansas State University- in-person classes canceled. Online classes begin March 17 until end of Spring semester

Jury Duty/Court
Jurors scheduled from March 16 to March 23 will be rescheduled. Questions, call 901-222-1650.
Shelby County General Sessions Civil Courts Closed until March 31st; however, General Sessions Civil Offices are open. General Sessions Civil Courts are suspending all in-person court proceedings until after March 31. However, proceedings related to mental health cases will be held at the Memphis Mental Health Institute as usual. City of Southaven Park and Recreational events - suspended until April 1
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Youth Symposium March 21 postponed - later date to be determined
Oxford Film Festival March 18-22 postponed - organizers plan to reschedule a later date
NBA Suspended League - No Memphis Grizzlies games for the foreseeable future
Greater Memphis National College Fair canceled
Disney on Ice Southaven - Disney On Ice performances scheduled March 12 through March 15 at Southaven canceled
TSSAA Tournaments Suspended - Girls and boys state basketball tournament suspended due to coronavirus
AAC Basketball Tournament March 12-15 canceled - UofM Tigers were scheduled to play Thursday evening
United Soccer League Suspended Season - 901FC play suspended for at least 30 days
Mississippi Museum of Natural Science - will temporarily close to the public beginning Friday, March 13 at 3 p.m. The “NatureFEST” event scheduled for April 4, 2020 is also postponed.
Monster Jam scheduled for April 17-19 at Landers Center postponed.
Memphis Fire Department New Headquarters Groundbreaking Ceremony March 18 - canceled
SAVE 901 Non-violence Awareness March April 4 - canceled
Hospitality Staffing Solutions hiring events in Memphis and Robinsonville, MS - March 17 and March 24 events canceled
Martin Lawrence and Friends scheduled for March 27 at FedExForum postponed.
Playhouse on the Square canceled all public events through May 7. Shows scheduled to begin after May 7 have been pushed back.
Withers Collection Museum and Gallery is closed until further notice.
Kosten Foundation rescheduling the Kick It 5K to Oct. 25 at Shelby Farms Park.
Novel bookstore - The following author events have been postponed:
- Bill Patton, A History Lover's Guide to Memphis and Shelby County
- George Flinn, Memphis Memories. (New event date set: May 26.)
- Leesa Cross-Smith, So We Can Glow
- Terry McMillan, It’s Not All Downhill From Here
The Millennium Tour 2020 is rescheduled to July 19. All purchased tickets will valid.
Meal plans for students across the Mid-South affected by canceled classes
Churches
Christ Church Memphis- canceling on-site worship services for two weeks. Sundays, March 15 and March 22, the church will live stream a time of worship including singing and a sermon by Senior Pastor Dr. Shane Stanford at 9:45 a.m.
Sycamore View Church of Christ in Memphis- will be closed through March 28th.
Ridgeway Baptist - In-person services canceled. Services will be streamed online.
Idlewild Presbyterian Church - In-person services canceled. Services will be streamed online.
Oak Grove Missionary Baptist - In-person services canceled. Services will be streamed through FB and church website.
Renewal Church- canceling services and activities until March 28
Idlewild Presbyterian & Early Enrichment Center- will be closed for the next two weeks.
Catholic Diocese of Memphis - all masses canceled until further notice.
Other Closures
All City of Memphis libraries and community centers will close Wednesday, March 18 until further notice.
City of Germantown City Hall and all municipal buildings - Closed to the public until further notice
City of Millington - all activities and programming through the Millington Parks and Rec Department have been cancelled until April 1. that includes all activities at Baker Community Center and the Millington Gym.
Brooks Museum closed until March 31.
National Civil Rights Museum - closed March 17 until further notice
Metal Museum - temporarily closed until at least March 30. Educational programs and classes canceled. Events canceled or postponed: Reception & Talk for Tradition of Excellence (March 29), Forging on the River (April 1-5), Dinner + Auction (April 4)
Children’s Museum of Memphis - closed March 17 until further notice
All casinos in Mississippi - closed March 17 until further notice
Southland Park Casino - closed March 17 until further notice
LA Fitness- closed until April 1.
High Point Climbing and Fitness closed for 2 weeks
Memphis Rox Climbing Gym will be closed for the remainder of the month.
Macy’s closing stores nationwide till March 31.
All Malco Theatres temporarily closed beginning March 17.
Pink Palace Family of Museums (Pink Palace Museum, theater, planetarium, Lichterman Nature Center, Mallory-Neely House and Magevney House) closed beginning March 18.
YMCA of Memphis and the Mid-South will close all locations at 8 p.m. Wednesday until further notice.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Memphis are closed for the safety of the children.
Memphis Zoo is closed starting March 19.
The Salvation Army of Memphis & the Mid-South’s Family Store and all donation drop-off locations - closed until further notice. The Salvation Army is not currently scheduling donation pickups either.
