The closure of Shelby County Schools due to the coronavirus will impact students who get free or reduced lunch.
The district is working to make sure students will continue to get meals while schools are closed.
Officials told FOX13 SCS has developed a preliminary food distribution strategy that involves the least-risky exposure for students and families.
The district’s Nutrition Services Center team will provide takeaway lunches for students between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the multiple locations throughout the county beginning Monday, March 23 through Friday, March 27.
