City of Memphis to hold ‘Test to Protect’

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The City of Memphis is holding a “Test to Protect” event.

At the COVID-19 testing event, “assurance testing” will be the strategy used.

By using the “do-it-yourself” kits and self-swabbing, testing can be done once or twice a week.

The health department said, “This testing strategy helps contain transmission and reduce uncontrolled outbreaks through early detection of cases in selected settings because 40% of infected persons are asymptomatic.

The testing event will be held Saturday and Sunday.
