Free space heaters or electric blankets are available to some MLGW customers through the utilitys Power of Warmth program.
One hundred electric blankets and 100 space heaters will be distributed.
Qualified low-income seniors and disabled residents may qualify for the assistance.
Applications will be accepted ONLINE ONLY through December 31 or until all the units are gone.

Heres what you need to apply:
Qualified applicants will be notified by January 11, 2022, by text and given information on when and where to pick up their heater or blanket.
You must be a Shelby County resident, disabled, and/or a low-income to qualify.
You must be 60 years old or older and have an MLGW account in your name.
Applicants cannot have previously received a blanket or heater from MLGW.
MLGW has partnered with Neighborhood Christian Centers Inc. to distribute the blankets and heaters.
