‘A Pink Christmas’ to honor cancer survivors

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — This holiday season a special event right here in Memphis will honor cancer survivors.

The event will be held at the GrandStar Event Center in the 3200 block of Elvis Presley Blvd on December 22.

It’s called “A Pink Christmas" and the event will bring families and cancer survivors together with a fun night of love and entertainment.

In a press release, the event’s organizer and cancer survivor, Shun, said “Christmas and the holiday season come with a lot of emotions for cancer survivors and the families of those that had transitioned on from the fight, so I decided to help add some holiday cheer and support with a fun night of love and entertainment.”

“A Pink Christmas” kicks off at 6 p.m. and the first 50 cancer survivors can get free tickets by calling 901-870-5131.

The event will feature live music by Carlos Strong along with Charisse. As well as spoken word poetry and special gifts for survivors who attend.
