Two Tennessee aquariums compete for title of ‘America’s Best’

TENNESSEE — Two Tennessee aquariums are competing for the title of America's best.

USA Today has chosen the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg as two of the best in the U.S.

Now it is up to you to name the winner.

The Tennessee Aquarium was nominated for its "high-quality exhibits and visitor interactions."

Visitors can come face to face with river otters, frogs, turtles, penguins jellyfish and much more.

Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is home to more than 350 species.

 The most popular exhibit is the interactive penguin playhouse, where visitors can come nose-to-beak with endangered African penguins both above and below the water.

Winners will be determined by popular vote.
