UPDATE: Police have confirmed 29-year-old Torius Russell of Ripley has been charged in connection to the fatal mass shooting. he is charged with first degree murder.
With a birthday cake nearby, seven people were shot in Dyersburg on Thursday night.
The ages of the victims range from 6 to 32.
We know one woman, 21-year-old Shanice Amerson, is dead.

The shooting happened at a 2-year-old's birthday party. The victims were on the front porch when the shots were fired.
Police said they are looking for three shooters.
Stephanie Childress was sitting down, waiting to cook dinner when she heard two shots. She was one of the first on the scene.
Childress lives four houses down from the scene, and told FOX13, "Innocent kids got hurt for no reason and I am scared to death that they haven't caught anyone."
"As a mom, you want to help," Childress said. "You don't want to see anyone else's kids get hurt, and just, I felt I could do more, and it hurts that couldn't do more," she said with tears in her eyes.
She said this area isn't used to tragic events like this.
"My son walks up these streets. It's very unnerving," she said.
Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
According to the Dyersburg Mayor John Holden, we know two of the victims were air-lifted to Regional One here in Memphis.
The shooting occurred in the 100 block of Longfellow. Police said there have been other incidents here, but not shootings.
The Dyersburg Police Department is scheduled to hold a press conference at 11 a.m. to the discuss the investigation surrounding the deadly shooting.
