MEMPHIS, Tenn. - UPDATE Monday 8:30 AM:
The Department of Children's Services is investigating after a mother was charged with falsely reporting her baby missing.
UPDATE 9:06 PM: 1-year-old Isiah Edwards was never in a stolen car, according to the Memphis Police Department. Mother, Elbenie Edwards has been charged with false reporting. Shaquille Wideman has been charged with theft of property.

UPDATE 3:14 PM: Isiah Edwards was located in the 1400 block of Briercrest Lane, according to Memphis Police Department. An Amber Alert was issued for the 1-year-old, Thursday afternoon.A robbery call came in from Ridgeway and Knight Arnold around 12:40 p.m. The TBI issued an Amber Alert shortly before 3 p.m.
Police initially said the suspect stole the victim's silver 2014 Chevy Cruze with the 1-year-old inside. The car was located in the 6300 block of Wind Ridge, but the child was not inside.
The suspect was later detained by police in the 6100 block of Trout Valley.
Further investigation into the case revealed a female victim picked up the suspect from an unknown location prior to her vehicle being stolen, according to MPD. The case is being investigated as a kidnapping.
It is unclear if the victim and suspect know each other.

TBI said the suspect is a black male named "Shack" who is 5'8" with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black and white baseball cap and a black jacket.

Memphis police are searching for a 1-year-old who was taken during a carjacking in Hickory Hill.
A robbery call came in from Ridgeway and Knight Arnold around 12:40 p.m. Thursday.
The suspect stole the victim's silver 2014 Chevy Cruze with a 1-year-old inside. The car was located in the 6100 block of Trout Valley, but the child was not inside.
The missing child has been identified by police as Isiah Edwards. He is 2-feet tall and weighs 25 pounds.
Edwards has braided hair and was last seen wearing a tan shirt, camouflage pants and black Jordan tennis shoes.
It is not known if the suspect was armed.
