• Fire at Memphis high-rise displaces 5 people


    A second alarm fire at a high-rise leaves five people without a home.

    It happened Saturday night around 10:23 p.m. at the Memphis Towers located at 1081 Court.

    The fire was quickly brought under control and no one was hurt.

    People living on the 7th and 8th floor had to be evacuated and at least 14 units sustained damage.

    The origin of the fire happened in one unit on the 7th floor.

    The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under the investigation.
