    FOX13 spoke with the boyfriend of the Dominoes pizza driver who was shot and killed. 

    Don Pigford the victim's boyfriend says, “She would always say, 'I'm all right. That's what she would always say.”

    But Wednesday night, 46-year-old Mia Jones would not be ok.

    It was 11 p.m. when she was delivering a pizza near the intersection of Ketchum and Airways when she was gunned down. 

    Pigford said, “She was just a kind hearted person, and that's what I mostly take her from her along with her pretty smile those are probably the two things I take away… excuse me.”

    Don Pigford has called Jones his everything for the last six years and said, while he is broken, even devastated inside, his love taught him better.

    Pigford said, “I can't have any madness in my heart, even though I’m hurting. I have to keep a positive outlook, because I know that's what she would want.”

    Jones worked at the FedEx Credit Union full-time and was only delivering pizza part -time.

    Pigford said, “So that she could do for other people during Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and any other holiday or special event birthday or anything like that for people.”

    Pigford also told FOX13 that next Thursday, the mother of three would have celebrated her 47th birthday.

    But in the end, that did not happen.

    The woman, who was loved by so many, was not able to say goodbye.

    Pigford said, “She never wished anything bad on anyone. She would always try to look out for the best for anybody.”
