Officials originally said it was 15 MPD officers, but that number has since dropped. The civilian employees were added in the most recent update.

This number comes on the heel of an announcement from the health department that nearly 900 people tested positive for the virus in Shelby County.

Shelby County health officials are also reporting 21 deaths due to the coronavirus.
