15-year-old charged with murder following weekend shooting, U.S. Marshals say

Memphis, Tenn. — One child is dead and another is behind bars, charged with murder in the other boy’s death.

According to the U.S. Marshals Office, a 15-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday after a 17-year-old boy was shot to death over the weekend.

The U.S. Marshals said the 17-year-old was shot to death in the 400 block of East Olive Avenue on Saturday.

Memphis Police reported that a 17-year-old shooting victim was found Saturday night, dead in a car at the corner of B.B. King and Union Ave. After investigating, police said that the 17-year-old was originally shot in the area of Trigg Ave. and Olive Avenue.

An arrest warrant was issued for the 15-year-old and three days later he was arrested at a Memphis area high school, according to the U.S. Marshals.

The 15-year-old has been charged with second-degree murder.
