18th annual Westy’s Thanksgiving Dinner event, for those in need

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — If you or someone you know is in need of a Thanksgiving meal, Westy’s can help.

They are providing a free meal to the homeless, hungry, and lonely residents of Memphis.

Westy’s has been doing this for 17 years.

In that time, almost 30,000 free dinners have been served.

The restaurant is partnering with the Lindenwood Christian Church and Operation BBQ Relief to help those in need.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, in the 300 block of N. Main Street.

All meals will be on a take-out basis.

For those feeling thankful, people can donate at http://www.lindenwoodcc.org/give ($30 provides 10 hot meals).

The restaurant is also allowing volunteers to set up and cook, beginning at 5 a.m.

During the service event, the restaurant will be closed to the public but will return with a full menu from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.
