Woman shot and killed leaves behind 10 children, family says

MEMPHIS, Tenn — A pregnant mother of 10 is dead and whoever shot and killed her is still on the run.

We spoke to family and friends who have identified the woman as Sierra Parson. Neighbors said they want the gunman off the streets.

Detectives were called to the 1100 block of Marble Avenue for a shooting call.

Parson was pronounced dead at the home and a man was rushed to Regional One in critical condition, officials said.

“It was like pow, pow, pow,” said Lavarus Mckinney, neighbor. “She was not a bad person. She’s a good mother.

Throughout the morning, friends and family walked up the house where police say Parson was found dead and they behind stuffed animals to remember her. This one reads R.I.P. CiCi.

"I know their pain, I lost my grandma and if I lost my mom. I wouldn't know what to do," said McKinney.

McKinney grew up with her kids. He urges the gunman to come forward.

“If you just did it," he said. "You need to turn yourself in. How I feel it could have been anybody else besides her. She’s a mother.”

Police said the man shot is in critical condition, but is expected to recover.
