Police looking for persons of interest in Cordova nail salon robbery

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Imagine you’re relaxing, getting pampered at your nail salon. Suddenly, men rush in with guns demanding your money.

That’s what happened at a Cordova nail salon. Surveillance video shows the two men walking through the front door at Classic Nail with guns in hand.

Memphis Police are calling on anyone who recognizes these men to come forward, so they can put them behind bars.

”To have your life threatened like that, something like that is just terrible,” said Amy McDaniel of Cordova.

Memphis Police said the armed robbery happened at Classic Nails off Germantown Parkway last Thursday. And, it was all caught on camera.

The business owner said these two men casually strolled into his nail salon around 7 p.m.

The frightening video shows one man pointing a handgun at employees and customers while the other ruffles through drawers upfront.

“People are sitting ducks in restaurants or any place like that in any business. In Kroger, in any business we’re sitting ducks,” said McDaniel.

As you can see, one man is wearing an orange face mask, navy blue Nike zip-up sweater and black sweats with a white line up the side. The other is wearing a face mask, a black zip-up sweater and grey pants.

“To be in an establishment or business where you feel violated like that. It’s frightening,” said McDaniel.

We’re told the gunmen stole cash from the salon and the customers. The business owner said the men took off in a dark-colored truck together.

As of Tuesday, police were still looking for the armed robbers.

The business owner said for customers’ and employees’ safety he plans to install a buzzer.

Five days after the robbery, Memphis Police released pictures of two persons of interest in this case.

If you recognize these men or have any information about this robbery, Memphis Police want you to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.

Any information that leads to an arrest, in this case, could be worth up to $2,000.
