3 teens shot near Baskin Robbins, Little Caesars in Memphis, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three teenagers were rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after being shot at the Balmoral Shopping Center in Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department.

MPD said the shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. at 2219 Ridgeway Rd., the address of a Little Caesars Pizza.

However, FOX13 crews witnessed employees cleaning up blood inside the Baskin Robbins in the shopping center.

Video shown to FOX13′s Daniel Wilkerson indicates that a fight broke out in the area prior to the shooting.

According to police a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old woman were shot.

Police said that the 16-year-old boy went to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition. The 17-year-old and 18-year-old went to Regional One Hospital, according to police.

That 17-year-old was critically injured, while the 18-year-old was non-critically injured, police said.

A little over an hour after the shooting occurred, Memphis Police tweeted, updating that the man and child had been upgraded to non-critical condition.

Memphis Police said that they have two possible suspects in custody in connection to this shooting, but that it remains an ongoing investigation.
