4 injured, 1 dead after shooting at Memphis auto repair shop, police say

Memphis, Tenn. — One person is dead and 3 others, including a mother and a child, are injured after an exchange of gunfire in a Memphis neighborhood Saturday afternoon.

Memphis Police said the shooting happened around 5:20 p.m. at the Wells Auto Center near the intersection of Western Park Drive and South Third Street.

When FOX13 made the scene, police were searching at least 3 different scenes in the Westwood neighborhood.

MPD confirmed to FOX13 that those 3 scenes were connected to the shooting.

At least 2 people were shooting, exchanging gunfire, according to police.

One man who was shot died after arriving at Regional One Hospital, police said.

Police said a child and a woman were also hit by bullets but are expected to be ok.

That woman and child were also taken to the hospital, according to police.

Another man who was injured in the shooting was also driven to Regional One Hospital by a personal vehicle, police said.

MPD said that man is in stable condition.

No information on the shooter or shooters has been released at this time.
