Child, adult shot at Memphis apartments, police say

Memphis, Tenn. — Another child was shot in Memphis Saturday evening, according to the Memphis Police Department.

MPD said the shooting happened at the Pepper Tree Apartments around 5:15 p.m.

An adult was also hit by the gunfire, police said.

Both the child and the adult were taken to Methodist South by a private vehicle, according to police.

Police said the child is in non-critical condition, but the adult is critically injured.

Police haven’t made any arrests in this case at this point and urge anyone with information about the shooting or the person responsible to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
