MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Vaccines will continue to be given out at the Pipkin Building for just over two weeks.
According to the Shelby County Health Department, SCHD and the UT Health Science Center will assume oversight of the building, located at 940 Early Maxwell Blvd., on Wednesday and will keep administering vaccine shots until Dec. 15.
Anybody 12 and older is eligible to receive the COVID vaccination.
Vaccination hours will be Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
SCHD said that the vaccination site will be closed for a scheduled event on Saturday, Dec. 4.
First, second and third doses of both Pfizer and Moderna are available, as well as Johnson and Johnson vaccines.
Anybody 18 or older is eligible to receive their third, or “booster” doses if it has been at least six months since their second shot.
The Pipkin Building is a drive-thru vaccination site. SCHD said that, for safety reasons, vaccination is not provided for children ages 5-11 at the Pipkin Building drive-thru site.
