Delta investigating after fight breaks out on flight from LA to Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Delta Air Lines is investigating after TMZ shared a video of a fight between two men on a flight just before Christmas.

According to TMZ, the brawl broke out on a late-night flight from Los Angeles to Memphis.

FOX13 reached out to Delta to confirm the information reported by TMZ.

A Delta spokesperson sent the following statement:

“Delta is investigating this incident. Safety is always our No. 1 priority and while unruly passenger incidents are rare, there is no place for them on our aircraft or in our airports.”

In the video shared by TMZ, the fight is already in progress when a woman can be heard yelling “Stop! Stop! Stop!” as two men violently brawl in the aisle.

About 20 seconds into the video other passengers are able to stop the fight.

TMZ reported that no officers were waiting for the men when the flight landed in Memphis and they continued to baggage claim but kept their distance from each other.

In a statement released by the Memphis airport Saturday, officials said Memphis Airport Police were called to the gate upon the plane’s arrival.

Both individuals involved in the altercation were interviewed, and both declined to press charges, officials said.
