Donald Trump’s ‘American Freedom Tour’ heads to Southaven this weekend

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Former President Donald Trump’s ‘American Freedom Tour’ is coming to Southaven on Saturday.

The event is set to run from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Landers Center.

Anywhere from 6,000 to 10,000 people are expected during the event.

Donald Trump Jr., Candace Owens, Mike Pompeo, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Dinesh D’Souza and Sheriff Mark Lamb will be in attendance, according to the tour’s website.

The tour bills itself as “a celebration of faith, family, unalienable rights and God-given American freedoms.”

Southaven Police expect heavy traffic in the area and said drivers in the area should plan extra time to get to their destination.

Police will be in the area directing traffic.

Memphis Police said they will also assist with the event, according to the following statement:

“Our Federal partners have contacted the Memphis Police Department to assist with this weekend’s event. As always, our number one priority is the safety and well-being of all citizens.”
