MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man has been charged in a fatal wreck in which another man was crushed to death.
The crash happened at E. Shelby Drive at Tchulahoma Road on Jan. 10.
One driver, identified as Timothy Fisher, 42, was driving a 2016 GMC Sierra east on Shelby Drive, approaching Tchulahoma.
According to an affidavit, Fisher ran into the back of a Toyota Corolla that was disabled in the inside lane of Shelby Drive.
The owner of the car, a 57-year-old man, was standing behind it when he was hit by Fisher’s truck, the affidavit said.
The man was crushed between the two vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene at 6:47 a.m.
Fisher did not have insurance on his truck, records show.
He’s charged with Failure to Yield Causing Death, Failure to Exercise Due Care Resulting in Death, and Financial Responsibility Law.
