Drugs, gun stolen from deputy, seized during raid, sheriff’s office says

West Memphis, Ark. — Over 80 grams of cocaine, 4 pounds of marijuana and 70 fentanyl pills were seized Wednesday in an early morning drug bust in West Memphis, according to the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office.

The raid happened around 6 a.m. at 1920 South McAuley Drive.

Also seized in the raid, officials recovered a long gun and three handguns, one of which actually belonged to a Crittenden County Sheriff’s Deputy before being stolen from his vehicle several years ago, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials also reported finding methamphetamine. Authorities were still trying to determine how much meth was seized when the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office spoke with FOX13 Wednesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the City of West Memphis said that one person has been taken into custody but that the investigation is still ongoing.
